About Us

Backup Failed Foundation
Empowering nonprofits in a tech-driven world.

Why We're Here

Tech should be inclusive, not exclusive.

I’ve spent years working in IT — hospitals, nonprofits, MSPs — and one thing kept standing out: tech is often built in a way that leaves people out. Not because they can’t handle it, but because there are too many barriers. Jargon, cost, overlapping or convoluted products, or just straight-up complexity.

I didn’t want to sit around just pointing out the problem. I wanted to build something that helps change it. That’s why I started Backup Failed Foundation.

This isn’t about “fixing” anyone. It’s about creating a space where nonprofits, community groups, and mission-driven teams can get real support and learn together. At the end of the day, they may not be interested in being part of tech — but they absolutely need tech to fulfill a mission for the greater good, and that’s okay. We don’t need everyone to be a cloud architect, software engineer, or system administrator.

Our Mission

We support nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations by making tech more accessible and less intimidating. Through free resources, peer-driven support, and shared learning, we aim to create a more inclusive tech space where people feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

What We Believe

  • Tech should empower, not gatekeep.
  • Everyone deserves support without condescension.
  • Strong communities are built by sharing knowledge, not hoarding it.

How We're Funded

We believe nonprofits and community organizations should get the tech support they need without having to worry about cost. That’s why our core services are completely free for nonprofits.

To keep things running, we charge fair rates to businesses and for-profit groups that want to work with us. That support helps fund the free resources, tools, and guidance we offer to nonprofits and mission-driven teams.

We’re committed to transparency and sustainability — and we’ll always be clear about where our funding goes and why.
